As mentioned on my author site, I’ve been writing fiction most of my life, but very few of my stories had a beginning, a middle and an end. Taken as a whole, they were more of a swirl of beginnings, middles and ends, none of which stood the slightest change of ever aligning into what one might typically expect in the way of a plot. Let’s see how far I get this time!
It took me a while to extract a coherent premise for a serial from said swirl, but it was clear from the start that the story would be set in Brussels – a swirl of stories in itself, just like any city, but with better beer than most 🙂 That said, working out a handful of characters that could somehow anchor the swirl had me stumped. Until, one day, all of a sudden, unexpectedly and all at once, it just fell into place.
